Time is really flying by! I can’t believe I’ve been posting to this blog for 5 weeks – amazing. Now on to the stats run down, another loss for this week. Yay!

I almost forgot to post this! Ended out week 2 last week thus will be going into week 3 this week. Had to do an exhaustion test yesterday and I gave out at 19 so I’ll be using that as my start number for week three. Here’s the updated chart!

Push Up Chart Week 2

I have been doing the one hundred push up challenge for a couple weeks and originally I started doing wall push ups in part because of my knee but also because they were easier in generally. On Sunday I decided to see if I could do modified push ups and since I could do a few without pain, I re-did my intial test and started over. So this was week one and I was squarely in column one.

Today I achieved a max out of 12 and can’t wait to see how I do next week. I’m loving this plan and also can’t wait to move to full push-ups eventually. If you ever wanted to get in shape to do push ups, this is the program to do!

Push Up Chart Week 1

Yep – gained again but I know why, I stopped paying attention to what I was doing. Yesterday, without power, I ended up eating out for meals and making poor choices. Also, we had a nice food day at work and I couldn’t resist all the yummy treats. I’ll consider yesterday an off day and go on from there.

So it’s been a whole week since we last met and I almost didn’t want to do this update.

I’m never happy to see gains but this is within the 2 lbs threshold and my body fat % has stayed pretty steady. There’s no one single thing I can point to for this gain but I have been working out more and re-balancing my eating. I’ve also been on medication for my foot problem and that may have something to do with it.

My plan is to keep working on increasing my protein and decreasing carbs. I really need to get to the grocery store tonight and stock up on things so I have more choices in what I eat.

I will be upfront about one thing – I weigh in every morning and I would not recommend it. If you want to go down that road be prepared to see and accept a lot of fluctuations. I do it for stats reasons, I like to see a nice chart from the data points. So in keeping with a more healthy approach, for this website I am switching to only reporting a weekly weigh-in. For no real reason I decided to go with Thursdays.

So here is my first weigh-in information:

262.8 lbs

This makes a new total loss of 118.5 lbs since early April 2009 (I don’t have the exact date I started, oops!)
